    I’ve never had micro surgery but the Laminectomy I had done in 1994 was nothing short of butchery. How I wish I had known then what I know now. These procedures are only every temporary solutions. Back issues are mostly caused by muscle imbalances. Unless you address the muscle imbalance that is causing your issue the pain will again return with a vengeance.

    My sciatic pain was relieved after I learned to relax my stomach muscles. Yes, the doctors told me I needed surgery. They scared me that if I didn’t get it I would lose use of my legs blah blah blah.
    Learning to relax allowed my body to heal itself.

  • aPatheticLife4sho:

    @shifudan No they do not, I just had this surgery done.

  • shifudan:

    did they put anything in to replace the disk? also do you have any thoracic surgery vids for disks?

  • patrickbuch:

    @geezemycheese the disc herniates and pushes on the nerve root. this causes the nerve to “bind up” and be tight. a discectomy is performed to remove the herniated part of the disc to free up the nerve and let it move freely.

    @SamOG15 i am no doctor but i’ve had alot of experience with sciatic pain. alot of times you can just pull a muscle it seems and it all goes south. all of the muscles in your back work together, and if one is strained, it puts way more load on the other muscles. Stretching is the thing that saves me. Hurt vs. Harm with sciatica is hard to deal with, it hurts so bad, you think you are harming yourself. Talk to your doc to get some stretches to help loosen things up. best of luck.

    This sounds so stupid im 19 and i had mine on the Wednesday (16th) on my lower back!! i leaned to the left a slight bit to pick something up that was short at hand and i felt like a muscle pull in the same place, im now dying with sciatic pain down my leg!! (not that i have stopped taking pain-killers the last day or two)……….does anybody think i did more damage? im just lying in bed and nothing else to do!!

    I had back surgery in 2005 and it was awesome! I had a neurosurgeon and I ::knock on wood::: have been fine since.

    @eequalsmvsquare
    Really? I was up and walking the same day. I was aching for about a week or two, but I regained full use of my back and legs within that time without any follow-up physical therapy at all. I wonder what the difference is?

  • rndmcgs:

    Any difference between having an orthopedic surgeon versus a neursuregon?

  • chrisevilmonkey:

    @2Patricia1
    no improvement, i am havin surgery on the 18th of june.
    good luck to u too.
    u should consult ur doctor cus surgery has its pros and cons and its not right for everyone. god bless you patricia

  • EmceeGeek:

    @2Patricia1 omg. how did you cause those injuries? i’ve heard it really helps, long as you find a good doctor. i suggest a neurosurgeon that you can find a profile on, online. i’m very scared to have surgery but i’m going to the dr on wednesday to speak to him about it. i have many questions to ask. i’m sure you’ll be able to dance, but maybe not as much? i know how won’t be able to lift anything but like me, its better than being in pain. i’m so tired of this pain and numbness! i know the feeln

  • 2Patricia1:

  • 2Patricia1:

    @EmceeGeek omg im 21 and im soon having surgery on the back….L1 L2 L3 L4 L5…My left buttocks and leg and toes are numb and im in pain when i walk or move wrong….Im a lil scare about it…Does anyone know if it works? Would surgery truly help? Would i be able to dance like before?

  • Goblues1980:

    @EmceeGeek Honestly I would do as much research on the doctor performing the surgery as possible.Try every method you can first such as cortisone injections therapy, electric massage, and ask the doctor what his patient failure rate is. I myself would not risk it if I were you. I know the pain can be bad but the risk of paralysys is a lot worse. Have you filed for disability yet because of back pain? you can personal message me and i will be glad to answer any questions you have.

  • EmceeGeek:

    @RafaelFlores6792 i’m 19 and i’m considering it. have you done anything regarding your disc herniation?

  • EmceeGeek:

    @Goblues1980 i’m 19 and i have a ruptured disc between the L5-S1. the herniated disc is irritating the nerve in my left leg which is causing me great amounts of pain and i can barely walk. bottom of my foot is also numb. do you think the surgery would/could help me, or do you think it’ll be worse? i’m scared to have the same problem that you had. not sure if we have the same situation though. all they have to do is shave the disc off my nerve.

  • geezemycheese:

    Why does a person have to have a surgery for disc herniation. What happened to him?

  • leparditas:

    better dont have this kind of troubles.
    i promise you people today is the day then i …

  • dizkoteck:
